Copyright & Licensing Policy
IJCQSIM is committed to open, transparent scholarly communication. All content is published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, ensuring free access, reuse, and redistribution for the global research community.

“All articles published in IJCQSIM are made freely and permanently accessible online immediately upon publication, without subscription charges or registration barriers.”
Share
Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format for any purpose, even commercially.
Adapt
Remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.
Attribution Required
You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made.
No Additional Restrictions
You may not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing anything the license permits.
Self-Archiving Policy
IJCQSIM operates a fully permissive self-archiving (Green OA) policy. Authors may deposit any version of their manuscript in institutional or subject repositories at any time — before, during, and after peer review.
Preprint
The original submitted manuscript, before peer review.
scheduleAny time
Accepted Manuscript
The peer-reviewed, author-accepted version before copyediting.
scheduleAny time after acceptance
Version of Record (VoR)
The final published PDF as it appears in IJCQSIM.
scheduleImmediately upon publication
When self-archiving any version, authors are encouraged to link to the official published article using its DOI to ensure correct attribution and citation tracking.
Preprint Policy
IJCQSIM welcomes the submission of manuscripts previously deposited on recognised preprint servers such as arXiv, bioRxiv, TechRxiv, or SSRN.
Can I submit a preprint to IJCQSIM?
Yes. Submitting a preprint to IJCQSIM does not constitute prior publication.
Should I disclose the preprint at submission?
Yes. Authors must disclose the preprint server name and URL/DOI in the cover letter.
Can I update my preprint after acceptance?
Yes. Authors are encouraged to update the preprint with the accepted manuscript and link to the published VoR.
Will IJCQSIM link to my preprint?
Where disclosed, the published article will include a note referencing the preprint version.
Repository Deposit
Authors are encouraged to deposit published articles in open institutional or subject repositories to maximise discoverability and long-term access.
Institutional Repository
Authors affiliated with universities are encouraged to deposit the Version of Record in their institution's open repository immediately upon publication.
Subject Repositories
Deposit in relevant subject repositories (arXiv for CS/Physics, TechRxiv for engineering, SSRN for interdisciplinary work) is encouraged.
Funding Agency Mandates
Authors funded by agencies with open-access mandates (e.g., UKRI, NIH) are responsible for ensuring compliance. IJCQSIM's CC BY 4.0 policy is compatible with most major funder mandates.
ORCID Integration
Authors with ORCID IDs are encouraged to link their IJCQSIM publications to their ORCID record to maintain a complete, verified publication record.
Third-Party Material
Where an article contains third-party material (figures, tables, photographs, or data excerpts) that the authors do not own, it is the author's responsibility to obtain all necessary permissions before submission.
Author Responsibility
Authors must confirm, at submission, that permission has been obtained to reproduce all third-party material and that the rights holder has been appropriately credited. The journal cannot be held liable for any claims arising from the reproduction of third-party content.
Material reproduced from CC-licensed sources must comply with that licence's terms and clearly attribute the original source. Any material for which permission cannot be obtained must be removed before publication.
AI-Generated Content
The use of AI tools in manuscript preparation raises specific considerations regarding copyright and authorship.
AI Cannot Hold Copyright
AI systems have no legal standing as copyright holders. Content generated solely by AI tools cannot attract copyright protection in most jurisdictions.
Human Authors Are Responsible
Authors bear full responsibility for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of all content, including any AI-generated sections.
Disclosure Required
All use of AI tools in writing, analysis, or figure generation must be disclosed in the manuscript's AI Use Declaration section.
AI Cannot Be Listed as Author
AI tools may not be listed as co-authors. Authorship implies accountability, which AI systems cannot fulfil.
